Fall Semester Student Work

Opening Reception December 3 @ 4:00p.m.
Exhibition Open December 3 - January 17, Monday - Friday
Ralph Arnold Gallery will be closed December 13 - January 11

Exhibition Summary:
I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter is an exhibition of works produced in Loyola University Chicago’s Drawing II class during the Fall of 2025. During the semester, students took a deep, investigative look into the possibilities of material while exploring and recreating the fine line that can divide different disciplines. Studying the potential of Drawing as something “other”, this exhibition concentrates on the proposition that Drawing is more than pencil on paper. It examines how Drawing can be experienced in multiple dimensions and expands the notion of Drawing as a medium in its own. The course is led by Senior Lecturer Rafael Vera.

Participating student artists:
Alessandra Borroni
Reese Cox
Mathilde Cronin
Gabriella Daquila
Ashley Gaffney
Isa Guanipa
Guadalupe Hernandez
Adelia Hubbard
Jack Lang
Elena Piazza
Madelyn Rogers
Amanda Shih
Lily Swan
Dior Taylor
Gabrielle Vuong
